President Joe Biden attended the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping for the first time in over a year.
Just before that critical meeting, the FOX News Rundown’s Jessica Rosenthal spoke with Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy about America’s relationship with China and how he hoped Biden would confront Xi on issues like trade, Taiwan’s sovereignty, and that spy balloon incident from earlier this year.
Cassidy emphasized the importance of protecting our nation’s intellectual property and shared details about his recent trip to China where he met American businesses who said their company secrets were stolen.
The Louisiana senator also suggested how the U.S can finally stand up to Beijing on the issue of climate and hold them accountable for their pollution
We made edits for time and thought you might like to hear our entire conversation with Senator Bill Cassidy. On today’s FOX News Rundown Extra, you’ll hear even more about his trip to China and his ideas on how the U.S. can better compete with them.
