You can have some fun to kickstart the holiday season while supporting Evansville’s YWCA at their annual luncheon!
The YWCA in Evansville has been a staple in our community for over 100 years. They work hard to make sure that women and children are empowered and have a safe place to go if needed.
YWCA Evansville is part of a network of approximately 225 YWCA organizations throughout the nation. We have long advocated for the health and safety of women and girls.
YWCA pioneered the first safe residence and child care center in the nation, and YWCA is the largest provider of battered women’s shelters and domestic violence services in the country, serving over 500,000 women and children annually.
YWCA Evansville does not discriminate in the delivery of services or benefits based on race color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Every year the YWCA hosts a holiday luncheon that is a fun way to not only kick off the holiday season with some fun shopping and delicious food, but it’s also a fundraiser for the Evansville YWCA!
The holiday luncheon will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2023, at the Evansville Country Club with holiday shopping beginning at 10 AM and the program beginning at noon. This is a celebratory luncheon as well that will honor the 2023 Women on a Mission, Kathy Boyd and Wendy Chinn.
It’s definitely going to be a fun morning and delicious lunch! If you’d like to attend, you have until November 2nd to RSVP. You can purchase your Tastes and Treasures Holiday Luncheon ticket here. If you would like more information, you can call (812)422-1191 or email etaylor@ywcaevansville.org.
If you aren’t able to attend the holiday luncheon or are interested in volunteer opportunities with the YWCA, they are currently in need of mentors. They need both men and women to volunteer their time and mentor local students. You can learn more about mentoring, here.
