Chase Freedom Rise Introduces Automatic Upgrade to Freedom Unlimited
Chase launched the Freedom Rise card last summer, which is a product specifically designed for new-to-credit customers.
Now there’s a new feature. Cardmembers will be automatically evaluated on their yearly anniversary for an upgrade to Chase Freedom Unlimited.
Criteria for the upgrade includes:
- The cardmembers’ Freedom Rise account is open, and a purchase has been made on the Rise card within the last 12 months.
- All payments have been made on time to all financial lenders in the past 12 months, and no Chase accounts were suspended.
- They do not have an existing Freedom Unlimited account.
Freedom Unlimited offers the following benefits, providing cardmembers with more opportunities to earn cashback:
- Cardmembers earn 1.5% cashback on all purchases
- 3% on dining and drugstores
- 5% cashback on Chase Travel purchases, including airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, activities and cruises
The automatic upgrade opportunity gives Rise cardmembers the ease and accessibility to a product that provides higher cashback rates, and there’s no credit check required on the upgrade.
