American Express Experiences and Perks for F1 Grand Prix
A year after becoming the Official Partner of Formula 1 in the Americas, American Express will be heading to the United States Grand Prix in Austin from October 18-20 with unique perks and engaging experiences for Card Members and fans both on and off the track, including the company’s first-ever, large-scale activation at the USGP.
American Express is helping bring Card Members and fans closer to the action with interactive experiences across USGP that puts fans in the driver seat.
Here’s what they can expect:
- At the American Express Fan Experience, an immersive two-story activation located in the F1® Fan Zone, Card Members and all fans can:
- Participate in a driver evaluation where they talk to a virtual “team principal” to determine what type of driver they are and create their unique driver personality
- Design their own F1® car livery with designs created by local Austin artists, and take home a poster or share a digital output featuring their dynamic creation
- Create their own splashy driver intro video to share on social media
- Take home a variety of race weekend essentials, including a misting fan, La Roche Posay products, a cooling towel, portable phone charger, and more.
- At the iconic COTA Tower, American Express Card Members and three guests will have complimentary access for two hours each day during race weekend to enjoy views of the entire track, the Texas Hill Country, and the downtown Austin skyline. Card Members will have access at the following times:
- Friday, Oct 18: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
- Saturday, Oct 19: 8:00am – 10:00am
- Sunday, Oct 20: 8:00am – 10:00am
- New this year, Card Members will have access to the Amex Pit Stop Experience, located next to the Main Grandstand, featuring a variety of race weekend essentials from cooling towels to seat cushions, and more.
- Last year, Amex brought its iconic Amex® Race Radios to USGP right after announcing the new partnership. Card Members and all fans will again be able to pick up Amex Race Radios from several locations around the track to keep up with all the fast-paced action.
- Ahead of the race, American Express Card Members also had exclusive early access to purchase tickets to the USGP, including packages that offer access to coveted locations like the F1® Paddock Club.
