MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has released its coveted Digital Health Most Wired Survey results for the 2023 data collection period. The WVU Health System is proud to announce its Level 10 achievement – the highest possible – for the Acute and Ambulatory survey selections for the second consecutive year.
Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented, the WVU Health System, which operates under the brand WVU Medicine, ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration, and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.
“When a new hospital joins our Health System, one of the first things we start working on is bringing that hospital into our electronic medical records (EMR) system. We do this because it is a win-win for our patients and us. Our providers are able to access records and test results to help them craft the best possible treatment plans for our patients, and our patients can move between clinics and hospitals without having to worry whether the most accurate and up-to-date information is going with them,” Albert L. Wright, Jr., president and CEO of the WVU Health System, said. “This recognition is verification that our efforts have been successful, and we are honored to achieve it.”
