Citi has launched a new transfer bonus where you can get 20% more Avios when transferring ThankYou points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Qatar Airlines has been using Avios since 2022, which makes it more useful overall. Avios are also used by British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, Aer Lingus, and Vueling.

Transfer Citi ThankYou Points to the Flying Blue program and receive 20% Bonus Avios when you transfer 30,000 or more. Offer is valid for Point Transfers to Qatar Airways Privilege Club by November 15, 2022.
Important Terms
- The bonus Avios awarded will be 20% of the number of base Avios (up to 30,000) converted in a single transaction, and 30% of the number of base Avios (over 30,000) converted in a single transaction.
- Offer expires 11:59 PM ET March 15, 2025.
- This campaign is open to all Privilege Club members who are customers of participating partners in the prescribed markets and have Rewards Points.
- All bonus Avios earned will reflect in your Privilege Club account by 15th Dec 2022.

This is a decent offer for those that have a Citi ThankYou points balance, but we have seen a 30% bonus in the past. You can use Qatar Avios for travel on Qatar Airways, or transfer them to other airlines that also use Avios as their currency, or partner airlines like American Airlines or Alaska Airlines.
It’s always a good idea to familiarize yourself with a program before transferring points. Once transferred, you cannot move the points back to Citi ThankYou. So make sure you have a use case for them before transferring.
