New Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Coming to LAX
Virgin Atlantic is planning to add its fourth lounge in the United States. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse locations in the United States currently include New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington (IAD). The latest addition will be at the LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal in Los Angeles.
The news was first shared by One Mile at a Time, citing a Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Board of Airport Commissioners meeting.
The airline has not shared any information about the new lounge yet, so all we know comes from that document. The lounge will be small in size, just 4,401 square feet. The space was previously occupied by the Etihad Lounge, which closed during the Covid pandemic in November 2021. It has been empty since then.
The lounge should be accessible for Priority Pass members, during limited hours, just like other Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses in the United States.
The proposed lease has a five-year term, with one five-year option. Virgin will spend $2 million to refurbish the premises during the first five months after execution of the lease, at which time the rent will commence. Rent is set at $1,200,000 annually, for a total of approximately $6,000,000 over the initial five-year term.
