New Cardless Amex Avianca Cards Coming Soon
Avianca Airlines will launch new credit cards in the United States. Details of the new cards are not revealed yet, but there’s already a dedicated site where you can join the waitlist.
What we do know from that site is that there are possibly two new cards coming. Both are American Express credit cards. One of them is an Elite card which will have a higher annual fee, while the other is a standard card that has a lower fee.
The cards are issued by First Electronic Bank, Member FDIC. But based on the URL it looks like these will be Cardless cards. Cardless recently stopped offering sports teams credit cards, and seems to pivot to more traditional offerings for airline loyalty programs. First they launched LATAM and TAP Air Portugal credit cards, Qatar Airways, and now Aviana Airlines.
Waitlist applicants will be eligible to receive up to an extra 10,000 bonus LifeMiles. That’s an extra 5,000 bonus LifeMiles on the standard card or an extra 10,000 bonus LifeMiles on the Elite card. In order to earn the extra bonus, you must join the waitlist, apply, and get approved for the credit card within 4 weeks of the sign-up for the credit cards going live, subject to minimum spend.
