LaGuardia Airport among best airports in country after years of bad reputation
After having held the reputation as one of the worst airports in the country, LaGuardia Airport in New York has made a complete turnaround, being awarded the best airport of its size based on a new passenger survey. Airports Council International honored LaGuardia with an Airport Service Quality, or ASQ, award as the “best airport of 25 to 40 million passengers in North America” last year. Read more
Nebraska woman used rewards card loophole for 7,000 gallons of free gas
A 45-year-old Nebraska woman is facing a criminal charge for allegedly using a loophole to steal more than 7,000 gallons of gas worth more than $27,000. There’s usually nothing wrong with using a rewards card, but police say the woman took advantage of a software update from November 2022. The update was allowing anyone who swiped their rewards card twice to switch the gas pump from regular mode to demo mode. Read more
Video Shows How Easy it is For Thieves to Steal Your Luggage While in a Bar or Restaurant
A thief is seen stealing two bags in a pub in the middle of the day. The two ladies were talking to each other and not paying attention to their luggage. As you will see in the video below, on top of the larger roller suitcase was a backpack. You can tell he was cautious and did a couple of tests to see if the women were paying attention or if they had the suitcase tied down. Read more
Greenland’s New Nuuk Airport Opening In Late 2024
Greenland is a fascinating destination that doesn’t actually see that many tourists. That’s for a variety of reasons, including that there’s only so much capacity in terms of accommodations. On top of that, flying to Greenland has historically been rather complex. That will be changing soon, as before the end of the year we’re going to see the opening of the country’s major new international airport. Airbnb is banning the use of indoor security cameras
Airbnb had allowed the use of indoor security cameras in common areas, as long as the locations of the cameras were disclosed on the listings page. Under the new policy, hosts will still be allowed to use doorbell cameras and noise-decibel monitors, which are only allowed in common spaces, as long as the location and presence of the devices are disclosed.
