Hamas is a subhuman terrorist organization that must be wiped off the face of the earth. Israel must survive and thrive, and innocent Palestinians as always must suffer the consequences of war.
We must not let emotions dissipate our humanity. Otherwise, we’re no different.
Fox News host Sean Hannity is at it again, cherry-picking news items to incite anger and hysteria. True to form, Hannity suggested that Hamas is coming across our Southern border, without a shred of proof. He denigrated President Biden for saying that climate change is our greatest existential threat, and failed to mention that the question posed to Biden was about the threat to humanity, not to specific nations.
Hannity lied about the $6 billion that has not been released to Iran, frozen by Qatar and the U.S., as a reason for the invasion — without proof. We now know that the Hamas attack was at least two years in the planning. Fox fomented election lies and the treasonous run-up to Jan. 6.
Let’s not digest this vitriol without vetting the hosts and their track records for telling the truth. Fox is not a real news network but an opinion and commentary channel with no compulsion to pursue the truth for its enraged and duped audience. Hannity’s behavior is disgraceful. If he and Fox had taken a more measured, honest approach to the news, our democracy would be much stronger.

Terrorists, not ‘militants’
Re: Hamas attacks must be recognized as acts of terrorism | Editorial
It is disturbing that some major news networks and print media outlets refer to the Hamas fanatics who killed, raped and took hostages in Israel on the holiday of Simchat Torah as “militants.”
A militant is defined as a person engaged in warfare or combat. These acts were not acts of war or combat, they were inhumane acts perpetrated upon Jews solely because they were Jews. Please refer to Hamas as for what they are: Terrorists.

A source of antisemitism
I want to respond to Ronald Jones’ letter to the editor reacting to Gov. Ron DeSantis’s statement on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that “all” Palestinians are antisemitic. Unfortunately, the governor is correct.
The majority of Palestinian people are antisemitic because that’s what they were taught in school. Multiple organizations have documented antisemitism teachings in Palestinian schools. The reports are in the Jewish Virtual Library.
One textbook asks students to discuss “repeated attempts by the Jews to kill the prophet Muhammad.” Another promotes a conspiracy theory that Israel removed the original stones from ancient sites in Jerusalem and replaced them with ones bearing Zionist drawings and shapes. Until we acknowledge that hatred of Jews is taught to Palestinian children, we cannot achieve peace and normalized relationships in the Mideast.

Trump must be stopped
It’s hard to believe that Americans allow Donald Trump to run for anything.
How can we, after two impeachments and many pending criminal charges, to dictate where, when, in what jurisdiction and who should be the judge of him? He should have been in jail since Jan. 7, 2021.
What are we waiting for? Any citizen facing these charges would be in jail in a heartbeat. He’s just a citizen. Why we allow him to run his own show boggles my mind. This man could not get elected to the board of a country club. It is depressing and sad.
People who stand with him have drunk too much of his Kool-Aid. Those who are not with him need to be sure to vote and show that these kinds of antics must not be allowed.
Wake up, America! We are the laughingstock of the world.
