This is a card that gives you 5% cashback or more on eco-friendly purchases, such as taking public transit, buying secondhand, and shopping at over 50,000 sustainable businesses. The Future app complements this offering with additional rewards such as 10% cashback on renewable energy purchases.
This is a debit card, which means that it does not require a credit inquiry upon application but does require a linked bank account to fund all transactions. You can get a physical FutureCard for in-store purchases, or add your virtual card to digital wallets. Rewards are granted immediately upon purchase and transferred automatically.

Earning Rewards
The FutureCard earns 6% cashback on select partner brands, 5% cashback on the first $25,000 of purchases spent on public transport such as Amtrak and NYC subway, electric charging, bikes and scooters, secondhand clothes and furniture and plant-based meat, dairy and eggs and 1% cashback on every other purchases. Rewards are only earned at the advertised 5% cash-back rate on the first $25,000 in annual purchases. After that, you will only earn 1% cashback until the start of next year.
Redeeming Rewards
Redeeming rewards with the FutureCard Visa is pretty easy as you don’t need to do much. All rewards are automatically redeemed when the transaction is made.
