The Platinum Card® from American Express first launched in 1984 with an annual fee of $250. Now the card celebrates its 40th anniversary by treating card members to exclusive offers and experiences across travel, dining and retail all summer long.

Complimentary 3rd Night at Select Hotels

Platinum Card® Members can access a complimentary 3rd night on eligible stays at select Fine Hotels + Resorts® and The Hotel Collection properties booked through American Express Travel®. Travel dates and terms apply. You can see participating properties here.

Platinum Card 40% Point Transfer Offer

Platinum Card Members get 40% more Hilton Honors Points when you transfer Membership Rewards® points through from May 9 to May 31. Offer is only available to current Platinum Card Members on a Platinum Account opened on or before April 20, 2024. Terms apply.

40 Nights of Platinum

Celebrate the 40th anniversary,Platinum Card Members can celebrate 40 Nights of Platinum where they enjoy special access to select popular Global Dining Access by Resy restaurants across the U.S., such as Cocodaq (NYC), Dante BH (LA) and Mandolin (Miami) from May 30 to September 26. Platinum 40th Anniversary Amex Offers

Platinum Card Members can earn statement credits or Membership Rewards Points when they enroll in an offer and make select purchases using their Card. Exclusive 40thAnniversary Amex Offers include Hilton, Delta, Hertz, JetBlue, Sephora, Lululemon, Oceania, Wine.com and Telecharge. Offers are only available to current Platinum Card Members on a Platinum Account opened on or before April 20, 2024. These offers are available from May 9 to August 6, while supplies last. U.S. Centurion Lounges

U.S. Centurion Lounges will celebrate the 40th anniversary with a new Platinum-themed cocktail, the Platinum 1984, created by mixologist Jim Meehan, and special treats for Card Members visiting the lounges throughout the summer. Treats may vary and are offered while supplies last. Must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly.
