Discover Authorized User Bonus
Discover is targeting some cardholders with an offer to add an authorized user for a bonus of $50. The targeted offer is sent out by email from Discover. You must have received it directly in order to qualify. If you are targeted for this offer, all you need to do is add an authorized user and make a purchase. It can be a purchase of any amount, as there’s no minimum spend requirement. Check full details below.

Guru’s Wrap-up
This is an easy bonus and if you are targeted, I think you should go for it. You just need to make any small purchase to get $50. Even if you are not targeted, you can often contact Discover and check if they can extend you this offer.
An Authorized User is someone added to an account without an additional credit check. They’ll get a card with their name on it and share charging privileges (up to the primary cardholder’s available line of credit). An Authorized User is not responsible for paying the charges on the account.
Just keep in mind that most likely, an authorized user’s card will show up in their credit report as a new card. You can often try and remove it from the report by calling the issuer or the credit bureaus. And if you are worried about Chase 5/24, you can explain in a reconsideration call that one or more accounts are authorized user accounts.
