IHG has launched a new promotion that will earn you extra points on stays during the month of January. Check out the details below, and register now if you have any upcoming stays.

The Offer

There are two parts to this promotion:

• Earn double the points on every stay at IHG® Hotels & Resorts for the entire month of January.
• Earn an additional 2,000 points just for staying at more than one IHG brand.

Important Terms

• To participate in the “2X Unlimited” Promotion (the “Promotion”), an individual must have an active, valid IHG One Rewards member account and must register for the Promotion.
• Members can pre-register for this Promotion starting December 20, 2023 through December 31, 2023 (the “Pre-Registration Period”).
• Members will be able to stay and earn IHG One Rewards bonus points under this Promotion beginning January 1, 2024 and ending on January 31, 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).
• Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period.
• IHG One Rewards members in the United States who registered for the current IHG One Rewards “2X Unlimited” promotion have been automatically registered for this additional promotional offer (the “2K Brand Offer”). Under this Offer, an additional 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points will be awarded to members who stay at 2 or more IHG brands during the promotion period.
• After registering for the Promotion, a member can earn 2X points on qualifying room nights during the Promotion Period.
• For purposes of this Promotion, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night.
• Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion.

Guru’s Wrap-up

Not the greatest promotion, but it can still get you extra points if you plan to stay at IHG properties in January of 2024. I usually just register for these promotions regardless of my travel plans, and if it happens to complete a stay, the points come as a nice surprise.
