T-Mobile Will Migrate Customers Onto Newer, More Expensive Plans
T-Mobile will begin to migrate customers on older Magenta, One, Magenta 55+, Simple Choice/Select Choice and Simple Choice Business plans onto Magenta, Essentials Select, Go5G, Go5G 55 and Business Unlimited Advanced. Where customers will move to will vary on factors like the amount of lines. Notifications will reportedly go out on October 17. The rate increases amount to around an extra $10 a month per line.
The report notes that customers do have a chance to opt out, but will have to contact customer service and state their intention to stay with their plan. Read more
Rental Car Customer Satisfaction Surges as Price and Inventory Normalize
Following a few years of inventory shortages, sky-high rates and staffing issues, North American airport-based rental car companies have gotten their groove back. According to the J.D. Power 2023 North America Rental Car Satisfaction Study released today, a combination of stabilized pricing, increased vehicle availability and improved staffing have helped overall customer satisfaction increase 14 points (on a 1,000-point scale) this year. However, with the outcome of the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike still uncertain, rental car vehicle supply may again become an issue. Read more
Hyatt and Headspace Expand Collaboration with Colored Noise Content
Hyatt Hotels and Headspace announced today the expansion of the collaboration between Hyatt and Headspace to continue supporting guests’ wellbeing with new colored noise content for World of Hyatt members and guests. Beginning October 11, Hyatt will be the only hospitality company to offer guests and members a complimentary sampling of relaxing sounds from Headspace’s premium colored noise collection. Available via the World of Hyatt App and in-room televisions at select properties across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, this spectrum of sounds can help you drift off, relax or focus. Read more
Minute Suites Opens Fourth Location at ATL
Minute Suites has opened its fourth location in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). The new site is in Concourse E located at the center point, offering easy access for all travelers. This will be the company’s largest location with 16 suites, 2.5 bathrooms including showers, and will be open 24 hours daily. Read more
Wyndham Grand Unveils Upscale All-Inclusive in Southeast Barbados
Wyndham Grand has announced it’s now taking reservations for its newest resort, the inviting 422-room all-inclusive Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa. The secluded, ocean-front hotel marks Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ entrance into Barbados and will begin welcoming its first guests beginning October 12 with select amenities, followed by a formal Grand Opening in early 2024.
Nestled on the Southeastern side of the island of Barbados, just 15 minutes from the Grantley International Airport, the hotel is located on the former site of Sam Lord’s Castle, which was once renowned for pirates during the 19th century. The all-new construction, all-inclusive resort offers 422 guest rooms, including 37 suites with sophisticated architecture and sustainable designs, along with large ocean views and lanai-style private balconies to allow guests to bask in the joy of indoor and outdoor living.
